I recently wrote an essay titled "Leaving or Staying" addressing the imminent issue of both long term expats and Chinese nationals leaving the country. The WSJ published a good article "The Great Chinese Exodus" also looking on this phenomenon.
I referred in another essay on education in China to the book "In a Line Behind 1 Billion People" by the economist Damien Ma which looks at China's economy in terms of scarcity. We have to add one perspective to this book: looking at the world economy and some affected national economies in terms of scarcity and market mechanisms when millions of Chinese hit the ground. Most European governments are like sleeping beauties, not knowing what their populations will face ... 200 million annual tourist by 2020 is just one facet which will require preparation for mass transportation, waste disposal, etc. etc.
